Web 2.0 Surf Camp objectives :

  • install individual tools and don't miss anything important anymore

Target group:

  • everybody who has to manipulate information: marketing professionals, information specialists, product developer, librarians, students
  • everybody who wants to use modern tools for professional tasks: teachers, manager, consultants
  • enterprise seminars on request

workflow / content of the e-seminar:

  • Week 1: Introduction into the learning platform, group finding phase, online collaboration tools
  • Week 2: Start to elaborate of group specifi topics like "trends in library marketing" or "open access", tool emphasis on "blogging"
  • Week 3: RSS and feeds, news-alerts, widgets, tool emphasis on "wikis"
  • Week 4: presentation of group specific topic, emphasis on "social search"
  • Week 5: collaborative bookmarking and tagging, virtual worlds, individual search engines, tool emphasis on "multi-media platforms"; presentation of group topic, feedback and resumee.

Length: 5 weeks, work load of 40 hours

Price: € 590,- (inkl. 20% Austrian VAT) per participant; special discount price for students (aged 25 or younger): € 290,-
